Ciro Immobile said he’s “happy at Torino” and would love an Italy call-up for Euro 2016 alongside teammate Andrea Belotti.

The striker made his comeback as a substitute in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Napoli after six weeks out injured.

“I thank Torino, the Coach and all the team for helping me get back into the Nazionale before the derby with Juventus, but then unfortunately I had this injury,” Immobile told reporters at a sponsor event.

“I thank Torino, the Coach and all the team for helping me get back into the Nazionale before the derby with Juventus, but then unfortunately I had this injury,” Immobile told reporters at a sponsor event.

“Now there is an important game coming up for me and I will try to give my best.”

Since leaving Toro in July 2014, he has gone through Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and back to the Granata in January.

He is currently on loan with an option to buy worth a reported €11m.

“As for my future, I can only say that I am happy at Torino, but what counts now is to end the season on a high.

“Along with Belotti we’ve done great things together and Josef Martinez is also doing well. Paradoxically, the team has almost done better without me!

“I really hope for an Italy call, hopefully along with ‘Gallo’ Belotti.”

Belotti has scored 11 goals in his last 19 Serie A appearances.
