Injury problems are piling up for Lazio, as both Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto were forced to come off during the Serie A trip to Empoli.

The Aquile are in action at the Stadio Castellani this evening and had Luis Alberto back in the starting XI after he was dropped against Inter.

Immobile was the first to go, as he had just prodded a pass into the path of Matteo Guendouzi when he suddenly crumpled to the ground.

The Italian immediately made the gesture to Maurizio Sarri on the bench that he needed to be substituted.

Initial reports suggest it is a right thigh issue, but more worrying is that Immobile appeared to vomit over the back of the advertising boards on his way off the pitch.

Moments later, Luis Alberto also had to come off with a flexor problem in his thigh after over-stretching for the ball on the counter-attack.

Taty Castellanos and Daichi Kamada came on, but Lazio already used up two substitutes and two slots within 25 minutes.
