Jannik Sinner wrote ‘Forza Milan‘ on a live television camera moments after winning the Italian derby against Inter fan Fabio Fognini at the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome.

The 20-year-old beat his compatriot 2-6, 6-3, 3-6, qualifying for the Round of 16 in Rome. The tournament takes place just outside the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, where Juventus and Inter play the Coppa Italia Final tonight.

Sinner upset Fognini twice as he wrote ‘Forza Milan’ on a television camera after beating him. Sinner is a Rossoneri fan, while Fognini supports Inter.

However, he clarified after the game that he didn’t remember Fognini was an Inter fan.

“I apologised to him for writing Forza Milan, I had forgotten his football faith,” he said at a press conference.

“It was nothing personal. I instinctively wrote it, but then I felt guilty. I apologised and we joked about it.”

Simone Inzaghi’s men qualified for the Coppa Italia by beating the Rossoneri in the semis, but Stefano Pioli’s men are the Serie A table leaders with a two-point lead over their city rivals with only two games remaining.
