Some Roma fans had an unexpected meeting after yesterday’s Conference League match against Leicester City as they ran into club owner Dan Friedkin at a McDonald’s restaurant.

José Mourinho’s side collected a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Conference League semis last night, a positive result ahead of the decider in Rome next week.

Roma owner Dan Friedkin was in the stands at the King Power Stadium yesterday and, as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, met a group of Roma fans at a McDonald’s restaurant just outside Leicester after the game.

Fans were surprised to meet Friedkin there, while the American businessman was visibly pleased with the result obtained by Mourinho’s men on the English soil. Roma will host the Foxes at the Stadio Olimpico in the second leg next week.

Roma haven’t won a trophy since 2008 when they lifted the Coppa Italia with Luciano Spalletti in charge.
