Puma have dropped Italy’s new kit which the Azzurri will wear on Wednesday in the Finalissima against Argentina at Wembley Stadium.

The new kit features four big squares coloured with different shades of blue and it’s been designed to pay tribute to the history of the Azzurri. There are four squares, as many as the legendary teams that won the World Cup.

Unfortunately, the Azzurri won’t wear it in Qatar as Roberto Mancini’s men have failed to qualify for the World Cup for the second successive time.

They will wear the new jersey for the first time in the Finalissima against Argentina at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday and in the following Nations League matches against Germany, Hungary and England.

  1. Not bad. Different. I like the collar.

This will be the last design by Puma before we switch to Adidas in January.

  2. I’m sorry, but I don’t like it all! It looks like a chess board haha. Why Puma? I think they should bring back the 1994 design by Diadora, that kit was legendary. Anyway, Forza Azzurri!!

  3. Plain blue would’ve nicer and would match the 1990s home kit. The four squares looks like a jockeys jersey! Not buying this. Wait for white shirt or failing that the adidas jersey next year

  4. I like the return to the lighter colour, but the rest of this looks more like a cheap knock off sold on the the street than an official team jersey. Puma’s only concern is the presence of their logo.

  5. Terrible. They pick the one player perhaps most responsible for Italy not making the WC after missing multiple crucial penalties, Jorginho, to showcase this clownish shirt with his clownish smirk. I feel like throwing up after seeing this.

  6. They’ll just be wearing this to friendlies anyway. Maybe the players can wear it when they watch the world cup on their tele
