Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie didn’t hide his happiness in seeing his compatriot Tyler Adams join Premier League side Leeds.
The USMNT international is on the verge of joining the Whites on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig. The club hasn’t confirmed the deal, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it will be completed in the coming days.
McKennie is a close friend of Adams and reacted to his imminent transfer on social media.
The Bianconeri midfielder took to his official Instagram account to share a story confirming the deal and adding: ‘Yesss!! love to see it.’
McKennie joined Juventus from Schalke on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in 2020. Juventus made his move permanent for circa €18m in March 2021.
He has scored 10 goals in 75 appearances with the Serie A giants.
