A heartbroken Giorgio Chiellini shared his last picture at Continassa, showing his empty locker before leaving Juventus‘ training ground.

The veteran defender is expected to move to the MLS after deciding to part ways with the Old Lady one year before the end of his contract in June 2023. Italy’s failed attempt to qualify for the World Cup in March convinced the 37-year-old to leave Turin at the end of the season and continue his playing career overseas.

The former Italy captain showed his empty locker at Continassa this morning, sharing the picture on Twitter and Instagram.

Chiellini spent 17 years at Juventus and is the only footballer to have won nine consecutive Serie A titles at the club. He played 561 games across all competitions with the Old Lady.

He retired from international football earlier this month, playing his 117th and final game with Italy in a 3-0 loss against Argentina at Wembley Stadium.
