Udinese President Franco Soldati recognises poacher Antonio Di Natale is their ‘emblem’ and says he wants to ‘convince him to stay’.

“Totó is our emblem, I hope I can convince him to stay in Udine for many years,” the club President has told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

The 37-year-old still has been linked in recent days with courtship from New York, but Soldati is keen to stop that from happening.
“Totó is our emblem, I hope I can convince him to stay in Udine for many years,” the club President has told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“Some of the offers we read of in the newspapers are real and well beyond our means.
“At the end of a player's career it's understandable that he should entertain certain thoughts, but I'm hoping what will prevail will be a sentiment of love for our club.”
Soldati also commented briefly on the continued emergence of defensive midfielder Allan.
“He is growing quickly, I think he'll stay with us a few more years to keep growing. There are no offers for the player from Napoli.”
