The former Roma youth product joined the club three days ago from Genoa and was already in the squad list for Fiorentina’s Coppa victory against the Giallorossi last Tuesday.
In his introductory Press conference today, he outlined the qualities he thinks he will need to break into his new team.
“This is a dream come true for me,” Rosi has told reporters, as relayed by FirenzeViola.it. “I come with great desire, great will and humility.
“I make myself available and I'm going to give everything. My ideal formation is the 3-5-2.
“When I played against Fiorentina with Genoa the game was very balanced, with many opportunities, while in Rome I saw they achieved a great result and played a great game.
“For me it's a gift, a great opportunity and I'm going to try and give my very best. I'd like to thank everyone, from [Daniele] Pradé to [Vincenzo] Montella who know me. I'm here to give everything for the group.”
Predictably Rosi, as an ex-Giallorosso, was questioned about Fiorentina's game against Roma, which he witnessed first-hand.
“The day before that I was at home, then I found myself on the bench, looking at them. It was very nice, and it was followed by a great result. It's wonderful to start like that.
“I'm sorry for Roma, but I'm in Florence now and I only think of Fiorentina. In my career I always tried to give everything, I don't know if I always made it.
“But this is still a great opportunity. Montella knows me and I'm ready to spit blood for this team.
“I heard from Montella the day before signing my contract, and the fact that he wanted me to come right away only served to give me greater drive and enthusiasm.
“From this point of view I can say that my adventure started wonderfully.
“These days I'm learning how this group works. In Genoa there was a lot of work from the physical point of view, but I was already familiar with Montella and his working style, so I'm counting on a quick integration.
“We work day by day, and the Champions League would be a beautiful target.
“In closing, allow me to thank the Della Valle family, who gifted me with this great opportunity.”
