Young Daniele Baselli says Torino is now 'fixed' and calls out to the Azzurri: 'I'll give Antonio Conte something to think about'.

The midfielder made it into the senior national team in March 2014 under Cesare Prandelli, but has not been called up since in spite of being a staple of the Granata side.

“I think Torino always showed some solid performances when playing at home,” he told Sky Sports Italia. “We've been a little unlucky in certain fields, but now we fixed things a little and we no longer want to make mistakes.

“I came back a little while ago and I'm hoping to contribute. Scoring goals? I was being spoiled, I'm happy if it happens but let's leave that to the strikers.”

Baselli has occasionally been compared to legendary Torino midfielder Renato Zaccarelli, who played in the 1970s and 80s.

“I don't know. I think I'm a midfielder whose qualities are under everyone's eyes, but if people draw these comparisons, then they are welcome.”

Finally, the 23-year-old discussed the matter of the national team and his prospects among the Azzurri.

“I think [Coach Antonio] Conte made his decisions. I'll try giving him something to think about and we'll see if he calls.

“I think wearing the colours of the senior national team is everybody's dream.”
