Former Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior is already surplus to requirements at Aston Villa, despite only joining his new club at the beginning of July.
Both Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea joined Aston Villa earlier this summer in a deal that was technically separate from the one that saw Douglas Luiz move in the other direction at a reported cost of €50m.
The pair brought in around €22m combined after leaving Juventus at the start of the transfer window.
Aston Villa not in need of Iling-Junior
However, less than two months into his time in the Premier League, Iling-Junior is already beginning to look for a new club.
He was not selected by Unai Emery for Aston Villa’s 2-1 victory over West Ham on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, and is beginning to explore options for a possible loan move this season, according to reports from The Athletic.
It could also be a similar situation for Barrenechea, who was also omitted from Villa’s squad over the weekend.
