Samuel Iling-Junior looks set to return to Serie A, just weeks after leaving Juventus to join Aston Villa, as Bologna have reached an agreement with the Premier League side for a season-long loan deal.
Iling-Junior set for Serie A return with Bologna
The loan deal will not include an option to buy, according to reports on Friday evening from Gianluca Di Marzio.
The agreement comes just weeks after Iling-Junior returned to England at the start of July.
The former Juventus Next Gen winger moved to Aston Villa alongside Enzo Barrenechea as part of a deal that saw Douglas Luiz move in the other direction. For accounting reasons, the deals were technically separate, and not marked down as a swap.
Aston Villa reportedly agreed to pay Juventus a fee of €14m plus bonuses, payable over four financial years.
The 20-year-old already has 36 Serie A appearances to his name during a two-year spell with the Juventus first team between 2022 and the summer of 2024. He has two league goals to his name, one in 2022-23 and one in 2023-24.
