Francesco Totti and his ex-wife Ilary Blasi are destined for court after the Roma legend refused to pay €37,500 a month in financial support.

The Giallorossi figure married the Italian TV presenter back in 2005 after they initially got together in 2002, and the pair had three children together – Cristian born in 2005, Chanel in 2007 and Isabel in 2016. It was a high profile marriage, with both already being household names beforehand.

Blasi released a statement in July of this year confirming that their 17-year marriage had come to an end, creating a tough situation for the pair as speculation of infidelity and other issues ran rife in the Italian press.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, Blasi asked for €20,000 a month in spousal support and €17,500 a month in child support from Totti, asking him to pay €37,500 per month in total. Totti refused this and counter-proposed an offer which saw her receive nothing and their children receive €7000 per month.

Their disagreements mean that the pair are likely to end up in a legal battle now, with the Italian courts ultimately deciding how much should be paid per month.
