A deal between former Juventus midfielder Mohammed Ihattaren and Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor has collapsed just days after the termination of the player’s contract with the Bianconeri.
At the end of July, it was made official that Juventus and Ihattaren had reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contract, which had been due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that the 21-year-old had agreed a deal to join Samsunspor on a free transfer and had been filmed arriving at the local airport in Turkey to a rapturous reception from supporters.
However, in a statement published on Samsunspor’s twitter account on Thursday afternoon, the club confirmed that the deal is now off.
Samsunspor claim that they had agreed upon the terms of contract with Ihattaren and had scheduled a customary medical, but after arriving in Turkey, the former PSV starlet attempted to change the details in the contract and made “unacceptable requests”.
Having terminated his contract with Juventus, Ihattaren, who has been involved in a series of off-pitch troubles in recent years, now finds himself without a club.
This boy does not deserves to be in football irrespective of whatever personal problems he has. He’s a spoiled child & deserves worst in life.
I blame the person who advised this boy to become a football player. he isn’t fit for the sport and always try to use his home problems as a basis for excuse on his football irregularities. his personality is zero!
