Agent Beppe Bozzo claims the non-denial of Cristiano Ronaldo’s proposed transfer to Juventus is ‘effectively confirmation’ that he will leave Real Madrid.

Bozzo has strong links with Juve, given he helped broker Alvaro Morata’s move from Madrid in 2014 and represents Federico Bernardeschi, who signed from Fiorentina last summer.

“I have no envy, indeed I tip my hat to Jorge Mendes, an important agent who works 24 hours a day,” he told Tuttosport.

“I’m following the case with trepidation and great satisfaction for Italian football. It would be something exceptional to have the best player in the world and a Ballon d’Or winner in Serie A.

“Mine is an external point of observation, but in the market a non-denial is effectively confirmation.

“This is why I’m convinced that, at this point, everyone has gone so far in that they can no longer pull back out.

“Timing of the transfer? Maybe only a bit more patience is needed. A bit of time can be useful for Juventus to make some transfers and for Real Madrid to buy at least two top players because one won’t be enough to replace CR7.

“A few more days will also be useful for Ronaldo to enjoy his holidays. Ronaldo is a great piece of business and far from illogical because it involves the sportsman who moves the most money in the world.

“Juventus are also a club where everything works wonderfully, but they’re missing the last step in a commercial sense.

“[Signing Ronaldo would] reduce the gap between them and superpowers like Real Madrid and Manchester United.

“If the legendary Florentino Perez really gave his word, he’ll keep it 100 percent. I was lucky enough to meet him.

“Will Ronaldo announce his farewell? Given there’s a gentlemen’s agreement in place, which allows the player to leave for €100m instead of his €1bn release clause, I think this responsibility must be assumed.

“Real’s market is very simple. If Cristiano leaves, they will look for the 2-3 most glamorous champions in world football.

“Signing Neymar and Mbappe won’t be easy because with Paris Saint-Germain, it’s always tough.

“I’m leaning more towards two of Hazard, Kane and Icardi. Ronaldo will certainly be replaced with two top players. One won’t be enough.”
