Milan striker Patrick Cutrone admits he would ‘play in goal’ for boss Gennaro Gattuso.
Cutrone broke through as not only one of Serie A’s brightest prospects last season but also one of its most versatile as he was played in a multitude of attacking positions, and the 20-year-old explained it was testament to Gattuso’s man-management.
“I consider myself a normal lad, although I’m a little luckier than some because I’m able to do what I love,” the Coach said at a book presentation on Thursday night.

“I’ve made a lot of sacrifices and it wasn’t easy to combine school and football commitments.
“You only discover the level needed to make the grade when you’re working at Milanello.
“In those months when I trained with the squad without ever being selected, I got to grips with it so much and raised my work rate.
“Playing as a winger? I’d never done it. With respect to Suso, he’s on another level technically, but I think I got away with it by working hard.
“I do whatever the Coach tells me to do. He can also put me in goal if it benefits Milan. Italy? It’s a source of pride for me. I was very happy against Argentina.”
