Mauro Icardi hit back at reports he was looking for a return to Italy for Roma or Juventus, assuring he’ll stay at PSG ‘this season, the next and the next!!!’

There were rumours the Argentina international was in talks via his wife and agent Wanda Nara for a Serie A comeback, having already played for Sampdoria and Inter.

Juve were said to be considering him for a swap deal should Cristiano Ronaldo head to Paris Saint-Germain, while Roma’s Jose Mourinho were also linked.

However, Icardi responded to a fan on Instagram who said Icardi has to stay at PSG.

“This season, the next and the next!!!” was his response on Instagram Stories.

“That has never been in doubt!!! Come on PSG”

The 28-year-old centre-forward made the transfer from Inter to PSG in 2020 for €50m plus up to €22m in bonuses.

There had been big question marks over a potential return to Italy, as Inter had a clause in the sale contract forcing PSG to pay a €15m penalty if Icardi was sold to another Serie A club.
