Inter's Mauro Icardi denies associations with Milan's Mario Balotelli: 'I never hung out with him, I don't know him at all'.

The Argentine is one of the most discussed Nerazzurri at the moment, no less than Super Mario for the Rossoneri, but he sees no parallel between himself and his colleague.

“In this malarkey about 'Icardi the Bad Boy', which people turn into Icardi & Balotelli, I simply don't recognise myself,” he told GQ Italia.

“I never hung out with him, I don't know him at all, zero. And I don't think there are any similarities.

“The fact is that I live in a very normal way, in spite of what people think.

“I know I'm a public figure and I behave accordingly, but I'm not interested in gossip. That's a part of other people's lives, not mine.”

Icardi also discussed the world of football as a whole.

“I understood that it represented a complex challenge. It's a game, but it's also a difficult world, in which you need discipline and the ability to move inside a certain type of solitude.

“I have few friends, because in football everybody goes their own way. You never have the time to create a bond, you part ways too early.”
