Former Inter captain Mauro Icardi posted a cryptic Instagram post following Victor Osimhen’s loan move to Galatasaray from Napoli: ‘The lion dominates in silence.’

Argentinean striker Icardi posted a cryptic Instagram post on Wednesday, and the timing was suspicious as it was the same day as Galatasaray’s announcement of Osimhen’s loan transfer from Napoli.

“The lion dominates in silence, while dogs bark to attract attention,” wrote the Argentinean striker, using a picture of his face depicted as one of a lion.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray after holding talks with PSG, Chelsea and Al-Ahli during the summer.

Galatasaray said in an official statement that they’d be paying just €6m from the striker’s €10m-a-year wages at Napoli.

At the same time, Osimhen has signed a contract extension until 2027 at the Stadio Maradona.

The Nigerian forward had been frozen out of the team and was not involved in any match under Antonio Conte.

Napoli signed Romelu Lukaku to replace Osimhen. On Saturday, Lukaku scored on his debut at the Stadio Maradona, contributing to a 2-1 comeback win over Parma.

  1. People can say what they want about this guy….but he’s delivered at every team. Look at his goals per 90 mins ratio for any team he has played for

  2. Of course when it’s from Italy, it would be something negative. I already new what this post was going to be about before even reading it.
