According to several English papers, including the Daily Express, Metro and Liverpool Echo, Liverpool and Chelsea hope to prise the Argentine away from San Siro.

That’s because Icardi was sensationally dropped for last week’s top of the table Serie A clash with Roma and did not even come off the bench.
He is nonetheless expected to start tomorrow’s game against Torino and Roberto Mancini assured it was purely a “tactical decision.”
Icardi has scored 39 goals in 80 competitive appearances for Inter since joining from Sampdoria in 2013 and was joint Capocannoniere of Serie A last season.
He has struggled so far this season, working more for the team and complaining about the lack of service, while his partnership with Stevan Jovetic is proving difficult.
