Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have multiple challenges to overcome in Milan’s Serie A clash against Juventus this evening.

The 40-year-old Swede is set to lead the Rossoneri’s attack in this evening’s game at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, and he has the chance to drive the team to victory against a top side as they look to keep up the pressure on Scudetto hopefuls Inter.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic has three challenges to overcome this evening, starting with Juventus themselves; the Swedish striker has faced them 12 times in the past with both Inter and Milan, but he has only find the back of the net twice.

The first time was in October 2010 at the San Siro as the Rossoneri lost 2-1, and the second was in July 2020, an important goal as the Milanese club won 4-2.

The next obstacle for Ibrahimovic is Silvio Piola’s record of being the oldest goalscorer against Juventus – the Italian legend scored against the Bianconeri at the age of 39 years and 174 days old, so the Swedish veteran could steal Piola’s record this evening at the age of 40.

Finally, Ibrahimovic can overcome his problem scoring at home this season; the Swedish striker has only netted once this season at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, against Lazio back in September, so a goal tonight would be rewarding on a number of levels.
