According to reports in France, Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed a contract extension with Milan, but only after that PSG had closed the door to his return.

Ibrahimovic signed a new one-year deal with the Rossoneri in April, but according to Le Parisien, his agent Mino Raiola had been in talks with PSG over a possible return of the Swede to the Parc des Princes.

Ibrahimovic played four seasons at PSG, scoring 156 goals in 180 games. He left the French capital in 2016 to join Manchester United.

According to the report, Ibra was tempted to return to Paris in an attempt to win the Champions League next season.

The 39-year-old has won domestic titles in France, England, Spain and Italy, but has never lifted the most important trophy for European clubs in his career.

However, PSG director Leonardo closed the door to his return, so Ibrahimovic accepted to sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri.

Ibrahimovic’s current €7m-a-year deal expires in June 2022.
