Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to sign a one-year contract renewal with Milan but he’s already planning ahead for his post-retirement era.

The 40-year-old Swedish veteran recently underwent an operation on his knee that’ll keep him out of action until January at the earliest, but the Rossoneri still want to keep the forward and so he’ll sign a one-year renewal in the coming days. Ibrahimovic scored eight goals and provided three assists in 23 Serie A appearances this season.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic is planning ahead for the future and has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the Swedish FA regarding a representative role. Whilst it won’t be an operational role like being team manager, it will allow him to stay involved with his national team for years to come.

Many expect Ibrahimovic to transition to the world of football agency once his time with Milan draws to a close, joining the Raiola empire.
