Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to start for Milan against Sampdoria, but meanwhile his statue has been toppled in Malmo by angry fans.
The 38-year-old Swedish legend returned to Serie A this week after a seven-year absence and is likely to be thrown straight into the starting XI on Monday against Sampdoria at San Siro.
However, while supporters are flocking to see Ibra in Italy, his reputation back home is suffering.
Zlatan only unveiled the statue in October, standing outside Malmo’s stadium where he made his professional debut 20 years ago.

Zlatan only unveiled the statue in October, standing outside Malmo’s stadium where he made his professional debut 20 years ago.
Since he announced that he had become a co-owner of rivals Hammarby, purchasing 25 per cent of the club, the statue has been repeatedly vandalised, including the nose sawn off.
They took the matter even further last night, sawing through the statue’s ankles to topple it and writing ‘take this away’ on the ground.
