Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Milan supporters a graphic visual of what exactly he went through for the last six months to keep his knee going.
The 40-year-old is now out for seven to eight months after having surgery to correct the ligament issue in his left knee.
He waited until the season had concluded with the Scudetto before going under the knife, but showed fans what he has been doing all term just to keep playing.
“Emptied the knee once a week for six months,” he wrote alongside a video of medics performing joint aspiration.
This relieves swelling and is also used to analyse the joint injury.
