Zlatan Ibrahimovic will resume training with his Milan teammates during their camp in Dubai and hopes to be back on the field by the end of January.

The Sweden international had a recurring knee problem for months, but held off on surgery until after the end of the Serie A season so that he could help his squad secure the Scudetto.

He went under the knife in May and was immediately ruled out for six months, so his recovery is on schedule.

The 41-year-old has been working with a personal trainer during the break for the 2022 World Cup and is expected to be with the other Milan players for their training camp in Dubai.

Serie A will resume from January 4, but Ibra will have to wait a little longer, as Sky Sport Italia report the striker is targeting a comeback on the pitch by the end of the month.
