Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he is open to welcoming Mauro Icardi at Milan: ‘The club will decide.’
The Swede was given the infamous Tapiro d’Oro trophy – the Golden Tapir – by satirical television show Striscia La Notizia today.
The reason is his omission from the Sweden Euro 2020 squad due to an injury.
Ibrahimovic had returned from international retirement but played just two games before picking a knee injury against Juventus.
“I am sorry I won’t be there, but I will never give up,” Ibrahimovic said.
When asked about Milan’s possible move for Mauro Icardi, he replied: “I will always support the arrival of any player who can help the team, the club will decide.”
The former Inter captain was reportedly offered to Milan a few weeks ago, but negotiations between the Rossoneri and PSG have not begun yet.
