Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now only a step away from making his return for Milan following his knee operation last year.

The 41-year-old Swedish forward carried an injury in the second half of the Rossoneri’s Scudetto charge last campaign and immediately underwent an operation at the end of the season. Starting his long road to recovery, Ibrahimovic was clear with his desire to return to action and ruled out the possibility of retirement.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Ibrahimovic was present for the first part of today’s squad training session at Milanello, working with his teammates on the pitch for the first time in eight months.

After the first part of the session, the Swedish veteran broke off to carry out individual work, not wanting to risk suffering an injury set back in the final stages of his recovery.

Assuming things continue moving forward as planned, Ibrahimovic is hoping to return for Milan’s upcoming games against Torino and Monza, scheduled for February 10 and 18 respectively.
