“I have always said this is my home and finally I am back,” said Zlatan Ibrahimovic as he arrived for his Milan medical. “We’ll make San Siro jump again.”

The 38-year-old striker landed with a private jet at Linate Airport, just as he did nine years ago when first joining the Rossoneri from Barcelona.

“The important thing is that I am here, I’m very happy. I have always said that this is my home and finally I am back. I’ve been through other clubs in the meantime, but I have returned and that’s the important thing.”

Ibrahimovic was asked if he had a message for the fans, who gathered in their hundreds at the airport.

“Finally I am here, wait for me at San Siro and we’ll get it jumping again.”

He is now undergoing his medical at the Madonnina clinic before having more tests at the Milanello session.
