Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived at Milanello on Wednesday morning to meet Milan players and Stefano Pioli for the first time since his return to the club.

RedBird confirmed Ibrahimovic’s return to Milan two weeks ago revealing the former striker would serve as ‘Senior Advisor’ to the club’s Ownership and Senior Management.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Rossoneri star returned to Milanello on Wednesday morning meeting Pioli and his players. It’s the first time Ibra has met the Rossoneri squad since his appointment.

The meeting had initially been scheduled for last week, but Ibra couldn’t attend it due to a fever.

Duties of the 42-year-old at Milanello include reinforcing the club’s winning culture’ and focusing on players’ development.

Ibrahimovic scored 37 goals in 78 Milan appearances under Pioli. As a footballer, he joined the Rossoneri twice. First in 2010 from Barcelona and then in January 2020 from LA Galaxy.

Overall, he netted 93 times in 163 games with the Serie A giants.
