Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly met Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani on Friday, sparking rumours of a possible return to the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Furlani met the ex-Milan striker at a hotel in Milan city centre on Friday.
Zlatan had already met club owner Gerry Cardinale in mid-September and visited the team at Milanello on the eve of their Champions League debut against Newcastle, days after a heavy 5-1 loss in the derby della Madonnina against Inter.
The ex-Sweden international was also spotted at San Siro against the Magpies and during the most recent home Serie A game against Lazio last week.
Furlani has refused to rule out Ibrahimovic’s return to the club a few weeks ago saying that the ex-striker is “thinking about his future” and that “he will be welcome at Milanello every time he wants.”
According to Gazzetta, today’s meeting proves Ibrahimovic’s return to the club is a likely scenario with both parties open to working together again.
