Milan have recorded an impressive tally of 16 wins from 22 matches in all competitions since the return of legendary figure Zlatan Ibrahimovic in an advisory role in December 2023.

Since Ibrahimovic’s appointment as senior advisor to the board was confirmed on December 11, Milan have picked up 16 victories and just three draws and three losses.

Of those three defeats, one came in the second leg of the Europa League play-off round against Rennes, when the Rossoneri were carrying a 3-0 advantage heading into the game, one came slightly controversially against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia and one against Monza in Serie A, a few days before the Rennes loss.

The three Milan draws since Ibrahimovic returned have all come in Serie A, against Salernitana in December, against Bologna in January and against Atalanta in February.

The Rossoneri are currently enjoying a six-game winning streak in all competitions, having defeated Fiorentina, Hellas Verona, Empoli and Lazio in the league in recent weeks, as well as two consecutive wins over Slavia Praha in the Europa League round of 16.

Though Ibrahimovic is not part of Milan’s coaching staff, TMW suggest that his influence has been important in Milan’s recent upturn in form.
