While the Swede rates the Argentine international, he has outlined just how important Cassano is to the team and himself.

“Tevez is a great player, an ace, ” the former Juventus and Inter striker told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday.

“However, we miss Cassano. Without Antonio on the pitch we have to play in a different way and I have to sacrifice myself much more.”

Reigning champions Milan had a slow start to the season, but recovered to go into the winter break joint top with Juventus.

“Juve are doing well, but let’s wait until May and see,” he added. “Inter and Roma are also there…”

Inter are in fifth, eight points behind Milan and Juve. Roma, meanwhile, are 10 points adrift of the leaders.
