The Sweden national team has announced an upcoming friendly with Serbia that’ll celebrate the career and achievements of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 42-year-old hung up his boots at the end of last season, drawing a close to an incredible 24-year playing career that saw him won a long list of major honours including five Scudetti, four French league titles, the Spanish league title and two Dutch titles.

Ibrahimovic briefly stepped away from football following his retirement but returned in the latter stages of last year, taking on a role at Milan as an advisor to owners RedBird. He is considered an important element of the backroom staff by the squad, who appreciated his dressing room presence.
