Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reportedly return to Milanello next week to restart training after spending the last six months recovering from a knee operation.

The 41-year-old Swedish veteran played an important role for the Rossoneri in their Scudetto run last season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 23 Serie A appearances, and as the season wore on he played through the pain to help his team lift their first league title in over a decade.

Ibrahimovic immediately underwent knee surgery following the conclusion of the season and has been sidelined ever since, slowly working on his recovery. The Swede has been closely following Milan and has often been seen in the stands of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, remaining a key leader off the pitch for the squad.

As reported by MilanNews.it, Ibrahimovic will return to Milanello next week to continue his training work and is expected to join the squad for their winter training retreat to Dubai, scheduled for December 11 to 20.
