Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimović rejected a question about his retirement, telling a fan: Football with die without me.
The Sweden forward is approaching his 41st birthday and, despite facing several months on the sidelines after undergoing a serious knee operation, recently extended his Milan contract.
Ibra has faced questions about when he would retire for the best part of a decade and has never given any indication it is close.
And asked by a fan during an Instagram live when he planned to retire, he said: “Never. If I retire, football dies!”
Ibra is continuing his rehabilitation as he looks to get back on the pitch as soon as possible and fight for his sixth Serie A title.
Despite not featuring in a large part of the matches last season, the forward received praise for his contribution in helping a young Milan side keep its nerve and clinch a first Scudetto in 11 seasons – with Ibrahimović a player in both teams.
It wont, but you scored the greatest goal ever, the bycyle volley againt england
suprised he hasnt created his own logo with that goal, like the NBA have for thr logo
Don’t forget the Ajax dribble as well.
Or when he left Sammy koufor red faced
As usual saying comical things to stay in the spotlight because he is finished. Football didn’t die when Maradona stopped but it will die when Zlatan does? Laughable.
This guy is beginning to annoy me he’s ego is really going to his mouth
He’s taking a lot of money from Ac for being a mascot and a mouthpiece
He should shut up and put all his energy in getting back playing
No one, i repeat no one, who knows a thing or two about football calls AC Milan with ‘AC’. And no one, I repeat no one, who knows a thing or two about Ibra takes whatever comes from his mouth for what it is.
It is pretty amazing that he still gets that reaction from some people. Absolute legend.
Yeap, just another proof that he’s really successful in building his image and personal branding.
Cypher
You are wrong. His mental problems started when inter won the CL without him while he left Inter to win it.
What are you talking about
Football will die without Romford?
