With his goal against Venezia, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has now found the net against 80 different clubs in Europe’s top leagues in the last 22 years, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 40-year-old broke the deadlock in the opening minutes of Milan’s away game at the Stadio Penzo, making the most of an assist from Rafael Leao from the left.
Ibra has eight goals in 13 Serie A appearances this season, and Venezia have become the 80th different club against whom the Swede has found the net in the last 22 years.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored against so many different opponents in the same period.
Ronaldo’s 80th ‘victim’ in Europe was Burnley on December 30.
Ibrahimovic has played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG and Manchester United in the Old Continent since 2000.
His contract with the Rossoneri expires at the end of the season, but he is likely to extend his stay at the club until June 2023.
The Sweden international returned to Milan for a second spell in January 2020. He has 91goals in 148 games with the Rossoneri.
