Milan consultant Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been blasted by criticism for playing along with a homophobic and childish gag from YouTube star IShowSpeed.

The American held a lengthy livestream of his visit to San Siro, where he met the legend in the locker room, they then travelled together to the club shop to continue their interaction, where he was presented with his own jersey.

During the car journey, IShowSpeed decided to play a ‘game’ called ‘First one to move is gay’ so they both sat immobile for several minutes.

It was not only incredibly childish – which is by no means the main issue with this – but above all homophobic.

Ibrahimovic was criticised on social media for playing along with this kind of behaviour and he was quoted in the Corriere della Sera assuring he did not expect this and felt pushed into going along as it was live.

For the most part, Zlatan just seemed happy not to need to speak to the YouTuber, keeping most of his replies to monosyllabic mumbles.
