Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed that he’ll be returning to action soon and gave some hints about his future.

The 40-year-old Swedish forward’s contract expires with Milan at the end of this season, but he’ll be offered a one-year contract renewal should he be keen to continue his adventure with the Rossoneri. He has been an important figure in Stefano Pioli’s squad, being a reference point and experienced leader in the dressing room.

Speaking to Radio 105, Ibrahimovic first discussed his physical condition and when he’ll return to action.

“If I’m coming back soon? That’s for sure. I have confidence in everything I’m doing. How far I’ll go I don’t know, but I always try to go over the top. Why be normal when you can be stronger?”

The former Paris Saint-Germain and LA Galaxy forward then spoke about his future, confirming his desire to continue playing.

“Let’s see about the future. I’m curious about certain things, like becoming an actor…. Something that gives me adrenaline. But nothing will be like football. I will have to make a difference.

“I have many projects, but right now my focus is on being a footballer. When I come back I will knock down the whole stadium.”

He touched on the possibility of winning the Scudetto this season with Milan.

“If I won with this team it would give me more satisfaction than ten years ago.”

Finally, Ibrahimovic discussed if he’s thinking about quitting any time soon.

“It is Ibra who decides when to stop. A lot of people keep calling me finished, but they fire me up.”

The 40-year-old Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 15 Serie A appearances this season, still impressing despite a recurring Achilles tendon issue.
