Ibrahimovic and Raiola in Qatar

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his agent, Mino Raiola, are in Qatar to meet Paris Saint-Germain’s owners, potentially to engineer a Milan move.

The Swedish international has been heavily linked with a return to the Rossoneri, and last night left the door open to a potential return.

The striker and his agent have landed in Doha this afternoon, and will meet with the PSG hierarchy, including President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

While some suspect that Ibra’s non-commital words last night are merely a ploy to win a new contract with the French champions, Calciomercato reports that he intends to cancel his contract with the club.

PSG have been penalised by Financial Fair Play sanctions, and may be open to getting Ibrahimovic’s €15m salary of their books a year early.

The website believes that the 33-year-old has already verbally agreed to return to Serie A, but the move would be dependent on his contract being rescinded, as Milan could not afford his wages and a transfer fee.
