Thiago Silva has confessed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic left Milan for Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 because of him.
PSG sent out a statement of their ambitions when they took the pair from Milan, with many remembering it as the starting point of both the Rossoneri’s decline and – in turn – the rise of the French club.
“I remember Ibrahimovic called me and asked: ‘Are you really signing for PSG?’” the defender told France Football. “I answered: ‘Yes, I’ve just signed.’

“I remember Ibrahimovic called me and asked: ‘Are you really signing for PSG?’” the defender told France Football. “I answered: ‘Yes, I’ve just signed.’
“Then he said: ‘I’m not joking! If you don’t go, I won’t sign. And if you lie to me, I’ll be coming for you!’”
In 2011-12, Zlatan scored 35 goals for the Diavolo as they finished second in Serie A to an unbeaten Juventus.
Since then, they have qualified for the Champions League just once.
