Agent Mino Raiola is in constant contact with Milan technical director Leonardo to discuss the terms of the deal.
Ibra is not a Designated Player in MLS, with a salary of $1.5m per season, around €1.33m.
His salary in the U.S is being boosted by endorsements and sponsorship deals, but he would no longer command a huge salary.
It’s believed Ibrahimovic would accept around €4m per season, but the issue is the length of the contract.
The Rossoneri would prefer to offer a six month deal with an option for a further year, while Ibra wants a guaranteed 18 month contract.
His contract with LA Galaxy runs until the end of the 2019 MLS season, so there may also be a transfer fee involved.
Despite that, Ibrahimovic’s return to San Siro appears to be moving closer, and could well happen in January.
