Roma defender Roger Ibanez says the Giallorossi had the wrong approach in the Derby Della Capitale and refuses to reveal what José Mourinho told the team after the game.
The 22-year-old’s goal was not enough for the Giallorossi to rescue at least a draw in the derby della Capitale which Lazio won 3-2.
Speaking to DAZN at the end of the game, Ibanez explained the Giallorossi’s defeat: “We had the wrong approach, which we changed after 30 minutes, controlling the game. It’s a pity for the fans, we’ll make up for it the next time.
“The goal means a lot to me, but it would have been better with a win,” he continued.
José Mourinho gathered the team in the middle of the pitch for a motivational speech at the end of the game, but Ibanez refused to reveal what the Special One said.
“It’s something that remains between us, the attitude that we have is always the most appropriate and we must continue like this.”
