Iaquinta has not played for the Bianconeri since the middle of March last season and in light of Marco Borriello’s loan move to Turin this week, is seemingly out of Antonio Conte’s first-team plans this season.

However, the player’s father, Giuseppe Iaquinta, is insistent that the claims made by the player’s agent earlier this week, intimating that he may stay with the club, are not wide of the mark.

“Iaquinta has worked hard in recent months to regain his form, he has trained a lot and is finally getting fit,” said Iaquinta senior to Calciomercato.it.

“I know there are several teams interested, but he still has a year and a half of a contract left and this implies a range of additional options that are up for assessment.”

Iaquinta has been linked to a host of clubs including, Roma, Parma, Fiorentina and even Premier League club Newcastle United.

“I repeat, the important thing is that he returns to form. His goal right now is to do well at Juventus, because he is a Juventus player and has never feared competition, rather injuries.

“He has had a bad run of luck but is ready to return to competitive levels, he just needs to play.

“What I will say is that he will accept a transfer without any problems. A move abroad? All offers that come in will be carefully evaluated.”
