Former Fiorentina coach Giuseppe Iachini said Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic reminds him of Christian Vieri and is only second to Erling Haaland from the class of 2000.

Iachini, who recently left the Viola for the second time, spoke to Tuttosport about Vlahovic and believes the 21-year-old is ready for a move to Juventus.

“Yes, but let me add one thing: I would like to share the growth of this lad with two colleagues that I respect like [Vincenzo] Montella and [Cesare] Prandelli,” Iachini said.

“Dusan has the stuff, the technique, the personality and the strength to play for a great team. Then, whether it’s Juventus, Real Madrid or Manchester United, is not for me to say.

“After Haaland, Dusan is the best striker from the class of 2000. Vlahovic is predestined, just like [Juventus forward Paulo] Dybala was.

“Technically, he reminds me of Bobo Vieri. Left foot, well built, excellent defending the ball, good shot, good technique and excellent in attacking the spaces.”

Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 37 Serie A games with the Viola in 2020-21 and the youngster has been linked with a move to one of the European giants in recent weeks.
