Beppe Iachini will reportedly be confirmed as the new Coach of Siena just as soon as he frees himself from Sampdoria.
The tactician, although out of work, is still tied to the Marassi outfit who axed him in the summer in favour of appointing Ciro Ferrara.
Iachini, who will come in for the axed Serse Cosmi, will then join up with the rest of the squad who will be at a training camp in Rome this week.
It is understood that Iachini will be given a six-month contract with the option for another season.
Siena, who started the campaign with a six-point penalty, are bottom of the table – four points shy of safety.
Iachini, 48, has only bossed Chievo Verona and Brescia in the Italian top flight.
