Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini was not happy with referee Daniele Chiffi after the 2-1 defeat to Roma and claimed the play ‘should have already been stopped’ before the decisive penalty.
The Viola left the Olimpico empty handed and sit 12th in the League after two penalties handed the Giallorossi all the spoils on Sunday.
But Iachini claimed the second penalty should have never been given, pointing out that the match official Chiffi played a part in the build-up.

But Iachini claimed the second penalty should have never been given, pointing out that the match official Chiffi played a part in the build-up.
“I don’t want to dwell on the single incident of the goalkeeper’s intervention, I look at the action leading up to it,” Iachini said at a press conference after the match.
“In the build-up there was an involuntary touch by the referee and the ball ends up at the feet of the attacker, who shoots and causes the save and the penalty situation.
“I would stop there, when Chiffi’ touched the ball, something that should lead to the game being stopped.
“I think about the build-up and the action that led to the shot on goal and that had to be interrupted, the game should have already been stopped.”
