Beppe Iachini believes Palermo “could’ve got a positive result” against Milan with more concentration.
The Sicilians fought back twice with Oscar Hiljemark goals, but were eventually beaten 3-2 at San Siro.
“When we got the ball, we should’ve been quicker to put the through passes in. Milan were very concentrated and knew there was a lot at stake,” Coach Iachini told Sky Sport Italia.

“When we got the ball, we should’ve been quicker to put the through passes in. Milan were very concentrated and knew there was a lot at stake,” Coach Iachini told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s a shame, as we didn’t allow Milan that many opportunities and still conceded three goals. The first was a ricochet, the second a set play, so with a little more concentration we could’ve brought home a positive result.”
Sweden Under-21 international Hiljemark has scored three goals with five attempts, already equalling his personal best in a single season.
“In my view of midfielders, they need to run into channels and propose themselves in the box. We practice in training during the week, because we know you cannot rely only on the strikers for goals.
“At times the movements we had worked on didn’t happen, but it’s a growth process and hopefully as soon as possible these lads will reach maturity.”
Iachini was sent off for dissent in the first half, then his assistant manager was also told to leave the touchline after the break.
“It’s disappointing, as I was just trying to point out that some half-fouls were being treated differently, but it seemed to me a civilised protest and not enough to warrant getting sent off.”
