Udinese lost a pre-season friendly 3-2 to Union Berlin, but Coach Beppe Iachini believes “it’ll help us grow.”
Iniguez gave away an early spot-kick and Skrybski’s left-foot strike from just inside the box doubled Union Berlin’s lead.
Ryder Matos turned in from close range, but moments later the two-goal cushion was restored thanks to a defensive error.
Panagiotis Kone pulled another one back with one of his trademark solo curlers into the top corner, but the Friulani were unable to fully recover.

“If we wanted to win friendlies 10-0, we’d have picked different opponents at this stage of pre-season,” said Iachini.
“We faced sides who are a month ahead of us in training, so it’s logical to struggle at times. The team did well in some circumstances and this will help us grow both in defensive and attacking approaches.
“It’s not easy to play a game when we train twice a day as well. We need to be more compact and find the right balance.”
