Beppe Iachini believes Rocco Commisso will convince Dusan Vlahovic to stay at Fiorentina despite reports linking the striker with Roma and Milan.

The 21-year-old has scored 15 goals in 32 appearances with La Viola so far this season.

His contract expires in June 2023, but both Roma and Milan are reportedly interested in welcoming his services in the summer.

"Fiorentina has all the tools to keep hold him. The President has a great project and trusts him," Fiorentina coach Iachini said at a press conference.

"Dusan must remain focused on the last games of the season, keeping the same attitude. The President will convince him to continue the journey together," he continued.

La Viola will face Sassuolo away tomorrow.

"When I returned last month I knew the remaining fixtures would be tough. But we must think one game at a time and face each opponent. Sassuolo at the moment are on the right path to become like Atalanta," Iachini continued.

"They have been working together for three years, with the same coach. De Zerbi is doing extremely well. They can play in various ways, they are great in possession.

"My players have shown they are willing to work and improve on a few things. We still have to do better, especially at the back. We need to be solid in defence and then capable to create chances up front."

Fiorentina suffered a 3-2 defeat against Atalanta last week and are hovering eight points above the relegation zone.

"It was a pity against Atalanta to concede straight after our equaliser. We weren't lucky. No excuses, but we reacted, equalised and weren't lucky on the penalty. After our second goal we wanted to win the match. We need to be focused for the full game. We need to improve quickly," Iachini said.

"Having President Commisso here gives us extra motivation, but we must focus on the pitch and on working hard. We feel responsible for our fans and we want to show them we want to react.

"We're working on various things to take the players to their best level. This goes for Castrovilli as well. I'm convinced he will help us a lot in the upcoming games. Some of the players have had injuries, Kokorin for example, who is still working individually. Igor is recovering still."
